The BLM has recently forged new partnerships with programs that reach out to veterans. In Lakeview and Medford, OR, and Spokane, WA, the BLM has formed three veteran crews with the capability to fight wilderness fires this summer. The firefighters featured in these photos are from Veterans Fire Crew #7 out of Lakeview Oregon.
